We Sponsor Your Blog Contest

For many bloggers, a contest is a way to:

• be discovered by new readers
• increase backlinks
• increase the number of RSS readers
• give back to readers

With this in mind, we thought we would use 1 Cool File to help you. You see, we want to increase the number of permanent blogs on 1 Cool File and we want real blogs for the 150+ categories.

We are often solicited to sponsor blog contests but our ROI(Return On Investment) was often lacking. Not anymore!

How will we sponsor your blog contest?

We have a free way and a paid way for a blog to be added in the directory/marketplace.

One of the way for a blog to be approve for free on 1 Cool File is to make a short 25 words review about 1 Cool File. If they do that, the blog will be approve for life. They can even use the nofollow in that review. But in the case of a contest, you would make it a rule that they must link to your blog and contest post too. Or, you could ask, instead of linking to you, for another task like subscribing to your RSS feed. This take care of the free way.

Of course, not everyone want to write a short review on their blog. That's why, we have a small fee of $4USD to be approve for life. In addition, they got their last 5 posts of their RSS feed shown versus the 1 post with the free way mentioned above. They also have anchor texts(tags) to their blog making it better for search engine optimization(SEO).

With both ways, the blogger must:

• leave a comment on your contest post with the URL of the blog on 1 Cool File when it's approved.
• if they wrote a short review, they should add the URL too in the comment.
• When contacting us to give their blog information, they must mentioned your contest. We may have other contests running at the same time.

Those steps will make it easier to track entries.

Note: The new blog will need at least 10 real posts in the last 30 days.

We will also post the contest on The Contest Winner thus giving you added exposure.

What about the regular readers?

We are building our list of RSS readers too. MISfan.com is our official blog for everything to do with McGrath Info Solution. We will announce news about the MIS specification, free media player MIS Info Video, Info2MIS, 1 Cool File new features, promote sponsored files or blogs...
